Well known for her creativity, exuberance, and tireless promotion of outsider artists, Rebecca Hoffberger founded the American Museum for Visionary Art (www.avam.org) in 1995, turning a 35,000 square foot warehouse into one of the most talked-about art venues in the country. The museum celebrates the work of self-taught, or visionary, artists through annual themed shows.

Baltimore mystery writers Laura Lippman and Sujata Massey presented an evening of discussion focused on their writings. Each woman read a passage from one of her current works and then was interviewed by the other about what was read.
