The Friends of the Goucher College Library are alumnae/i, faculty, students, library staff, and others who enjoy a common bond: a passion for communicating the importance of the library within the intellectual setting of Goucher College.

Special Collections & Archives and the Upper Level of the Athenaeum



The program features historian Marion Elizabeth Rodgers '81, who will have copies of her newest book H.L. Mencken: The Days Trilogy, Expanded Edition for sale and signing. Ed Wortek, Goucher professor of art and art history, will display and reflect on his photographs of Mencken's Baltimore, past and present. German-inspired hors d'oeuvres and locally brewed beer will be served at this celebration.

This exhibit, published in the 2014 edition of PRISM: An Interdisciplinary Journal for Holocaust Educators, was presented by the Friends of the Goucher College Library, with generous support from: the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education & Administration at Yeshiva University; the Elizabeth B. and David Allan Robertson Fund; the Goucher College Education Department; Goucher Hillel; the Goucher College Office of Spiritual & Religious Life; the Goucher College Peace Studies Department; the Nancy Patz Corner Fund; and the Sara Siebert Library Fund.  With a special thank you to the Lowy Family.
