EBSCO eBooks

This guide will show you how to find EBSCO eBooks and download them to your computer or mobile device.

Required Accounts/Software

In order to download the full-text of an eBook to your mobile device, you will need the following:

1.  A MyEBSCOhost account

2.  An Adobe ID

3.  Bluefire Reader (This is a free app that you can download from Apple's App Store or Google's Play Store.  Once you have downloaded it you must authorize it by logging in with your Adobe ID)

Transferring an eBook to Your Mobile Device

This tutorial was designed for iPads, but the same software and accounts are required for other Apple devices and Android devices.

Note:  You will not be able to select a checkout period.  The checkout period is always one week.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1:  Make sure that you have set up all of the required accounts and software listed on this page

Step 2:  From the eBook record, click the link that says "Download This eBook (Offline)"

Note:  If you are not signed into your MyEBSCOhost account, you will be prompted to do so at this time

Step 2:  Click "Checkout and Download."  This will prompt a message that says "The eBook was checked out successfully."

Step 3:  Click on the button to open the eBook in Bluefire Reader
