This guide will provide you information on all the functionalities of the Kindle Touch. Please note that the Library has disabled the account so that only pre-selected books may be viewed.
Home button: Use the home button to return to the home screen at any time.
Swipe: Swipe your finger across the screen to turn pages, or scroll up or down within a screen.
Tap: Tap to select buttons or text, and to enter your selections using the onscreen keyboard.
Onscreen keyboard: When you begin actions that require you to type in information, you will see the onscreen keyboard displayed at the bottom on the screen. Touch the keys to enter your selection. Tap the 123 key to enter numbers or symbols. Tap the ABC key to return to the regular keyboard. Tap the shift key (up arrow) to enter uppercase letters.
Turning pages: Tap the right side of the screen to advance a page. Tap the left side of the screen to return to the previous page.
Power button: Puts your Kindle to sleep, wakes it up, and turns it on or off.
USB/power port: Use for charging Kindle Touch.
Navigating the Kindle Touch
The Home Screen displays all of Goucher College Library's e-collections.
For the reading list, tap Books. The titles are listed in alphabetical order. Tap the book you want to read and enjoy!
