Research is a matter of questions. What questions you ask of your research may be as important as the answers you find - or don't find. Using ACRL's Framework for Information Literacy in Higher Education, this presentation will present questions to be asked about the resources you are using and the topics you are investigating.
The Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) has adopted the new Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education that focuses on six threshold concepts, ideals to serve as "passageways or portals to enlarged understanding or ways of thinking and practicing within that discipline" to meet the current informational climate.
The Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education have been rescinded by ACRL, but are still considered valid for many purposes. This LibGuide from University of Notre Dame's Hessburgh Libraries will bring together the latest information on the Framework.
