One of the finest resources for research in Judaic Studies is located just down the road at Towson University. In the summer of 2009, Baltimore Hebrew University merged with Towson University to form the Baltimore Hebrew Institute. It is necessary to go to Towson University to make use of BHI materials, but it is well worth the short trip. Here are some descriptive Web sites:

Baltimore Hebrew Institute: Describes BHI, its missions, programs, and courses.

BHI Judaic Collection: Baltimore Hebrew University's Joseph Meyerhoff Library is now located on the second floor of Towson University's Cook Library as the BHI Judaic Collection. It contains over 70,000 volumes and an important rare book collection. This is the largest Judaica library in the Southeast.

BHI Special Collections: A collection of artifacts, rare books, Holocaust survivor testimonies, and more.

Jewish Studies at Cook Library: This page will show you some of the resources that are available at Towson University's Cook Library, but you will have to actually be at the library to access their subscription services (unless you are also a student or employee of Towson University).
